What Loci uses
The current version uses the functional items below, without advertising cookies, marketing pixels or analytics SDKs. A cookie is stored by the browser; local storage is separate but can also keep device preferences.
| Name and type | Use | Duration |
|---|---|---|
loci_accountCookie | Private account sign-in. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, Secure over HTTPS; it does not contain your password. | Up to 30 days with Remember me. Otherwise, a browser-session cookie and a 12-hour server session. Removed on sign-out. |
loci_familyCookie | Access to the shared family profile. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Secure over HTTPS. | Up to 30 days; removed when leaving family space. |
sidebar_stateCookie | Whether the menu is open or closed, when that preference is used. | 7 days. |
loci:languageLocal storage | Manually selected language; it takes priority over the initial country/device suggestion. | No automatic expiry, until changed or website data is cleared. |
Why is there no consent banner?
Authentication, its security and requested interface preferences can be exempt from consent when used only for these functions. The current website uses these functions; it does not ask for blanket tracking consent. If trackers requiring consent are added, they must stay disabled until you choose, with refusal as easy as acceptance. CNIL guidance.
Manage or remove these items
Sign out, then clear this website’s cookies and site data in your browser settings. This removes sign-in and may reset language or menu preferences; it does not delete your cloud account or practice. Blocking authentication cookies prevents normal website sign-in. Account deletion is separate. Delete account.
Mobile app and infrastructure
Mobile profiles and practice stay locally until deleted or reset. Remembered sign-in tokens use secure device storage. Exports and system backups are separate. Hosting and email providers also receive connection or delivery information; this is distinct from advertising cookies added by Loci.
Data purposes, recipients, retention and rights are described in the privacy policy.
